In the previous Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the three main characters — Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) — became friends through an unlikely series of adventures. At the end of the last movie, Dead Man's Chest, Captain Jack is in debt to the evil pirate Davy Jones. Jack must repay the debt or face spending the rest of time in the service of the evil Jones.
In the new film, Will and Elizabeth team up with their old enemy, Captain Barbossa. Together, they aim to free Captain Jack. At the same time, the evil Jones and his ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman, bring terror to people across the Seven Seas.
Sailing through scary waters, our heroes travel to Singapore. There they fight with the clever Chinese Pirate Sao Feng, who is played by Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-Fat.
Finally, they must head beyond the ends of the Earth. They will fight a great battle to decide their fates and their fortunes.
