Oil and gold's biggest day

On Friday, oil prices oil shot up more than $10 to a record $138.54 a barrel after a Morgan Stanley analyst predicted prices could hit $150 by July 4. Propelled by the jump in oil and a decline in the value of the US dollar, gold and silver soared Friday. August gold closed at $899 an ounce, up $23.50 on the session.
