Trial of Laden driver opens

The trial of Osama bin Laden's former driver, Salim Hamdan, opened Monday in a special "war on terror" military tribunal at the US base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Hamdan was accused of such crimes as conspiracy and material support for terrorism, and could receive life imprisonment if convicted by a jury of military officers.
